My Approach to supervision

In my supervision sessions, I work from an integrative model, drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches including Person-Centred Therapy, Transactional Analysis, as well as elements of CBT, gestalt, EFIT ( emotionally focused therapy) and Psychodynamic theory. My aim is to offer you a safe, supportive, and reflective space where we can explore your clinical work and thoughtfully work through any challenges that arise. I aim to create a rich and thoughtful supervision space that supports both clinical development and personal awareness.

I approach supervision in a collaborative and relational way, encouraging openness, honest reflection, and curiosity. I adapt my approach to meet you where you are.

I am happy to work with both trainee and qualified therapists.

sessions of clinical supervision are typically held for 1.5 hours on a monthly basis, in line with the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.

If you require additional support beyond  1.5 hours per month, this can be arranged in one-hour sessions as needed.

My Clinical Background & experience

My areas of specialism include anxiety, trauma (including all forms of abuse), depression, relationship-related difficulties, ( both individually and working with couples) as well as  a wide range of other mental health difficulties . I also have experience working with personality disorders, such as narcissistic personality disorder, and in supporting individuals who have been affected by narcissistic relationships

I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor and work in line with the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy. Working ethically, thoughtfully, and with integrity is central to everything I do.

*While I am a member of the BACP, I am able to work with counsellors and psychotherapists who follow a range of different ethical frameworks. *

I have been working as a counsellor/psychotherapist since 2018 and have experience across a  wide range of settings, including the charity sector, education, employee assistance programmes (EAPs), and private practice.

I have experience working therapeutically with individuals, couples, and young people aged 16 +

In short-term work, I tend to work in a more focused and practical way, supporting clients to develop emotional regulation skills and effective coping strategies.

Alongside this, I also work relationally using Person-Centred and Gestalt approaches. These models emphasise the “here and now” of the therapeutic relationship and are best suited to longer-term work. I support clients in exploring their experiences through awareness of bodily sensations, thoughts, feelings, and emotions, helping them to make sense of what is happening for them and find a way forward that feels authentic and manageable.

I run a well-established private practice in Kingswinford and offer Clinical Supervision in person, online, or by telephone, providing flexibility to suit different needs and circumstances.

I offer a range of appointment times, including daytime, evening, and morning sessions.

A small number of weekend appointments (AM) may be available – please discuss this with me directly.

My office is wheelchair accessible, with convenient parking and good links to public transport.

I hold a current DBS certificate, am fully insured, and am committed to ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to ensure my practice remains ethical, informed, and up to date.
